“How do you go on when everything you love is gone?”
After the Asian tsunami sweeps away her family, Parvati finds herself in Canada, trying to navigate a new life while living in an unfamiliar culture, with distant relatives she had never met before. She finds work as a hotel chambermaid, but it is alien and dislocating – until she begins a doomed love affair with a guest. As Parvati's new life begins to disintegrate, she finds one of her strongest anchors in Emily, a homeless young musician with whom she travels to Cape Breton to see the ocean once again.
Shot documentary style, Snow beautifully captures the sense of dislocation and melancholy that follows tragedy – and hints at the rebirth and renewal that can grow out of it.

American Tribal Style Bellydance (ATS) is a modern fusion of Belly Dance, Flamenco, North African and Indian cultural styles. The result is a proud, earthy style of dance that is sensuous, subtle and powerful. It engages the heart, mind, spirit as well as muscles. ATS is distinguished from classic Belly dance styles as it is a group improvisation. You learn a palette of moves and how to cue them. The workshop will include a thorough warm-up and cool down, instruction and time to dance using our new moves. You will also have the opportunity to take turns leading and following. Come for an amazing work-out and learn to "dance in the moment".
